Lena defends her Master's internship!

We are very proud of Lena for her Master's work, which advances our understanding of liver innervation and how it impacts the formation of breast cancer metastases at this target site.

Using three-dimensional light sheet imaging of cleared liver lobes, Lena characterized the intricate network of nerve fibers in the hepatic environment in physiological and metastatic contexts. Her thesis and defense showcase Lena's continued dedication, curiosity and hard-work during 8 months in our lab. Lucky us to have enjoyed her company (and stroopwafels!!) all along!
